Warning: I am an extremely sensitive sap when it comes to animals, pets, etc. That said, I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much watching a video on the internet than I did watching this. It’s a documentary clip of Jason Wood’s last moments with his beloved dog Oden, before he had to put him down due to his suffering from cancer. It’s beautiful, raw, and full of emotion. As I’m sure is true with any pet owner out there, it touches a part of me that holds one of my greatest fears. Thank you Jason for being so brave and sharing this with the world.
It has been next to impossible to ignore the endless amount of cute childrens (and dogs) Halloween costumes popping up all over the web this month. Bumble bees, spiders, princesses – you name it, I’ve “awwed” at it, and more than likely shared it with my husband, who is approximately 1/4th as excited by them as I. Here’s hoping you’ll find these as tremendously adorable as I do.
It’s Friday, which means you’re probably already in a great mood, but in case you’re not, this SNL digital short “Rescue Dogs 911″ ought to get you laughing. I was cracking up at all the references to bad mobile apps!
If you need a little jolt of laughter today (and I mean, who doesn’t, it’s a Tuesday that feels like Thursday), I think this video of a golden retriever dancing the merengue will do the trick. I would cry ‘animal abuse’ but he (she?) really seems to enjoy twirling around in what appears to be a recycled Ice Capades costume.
Look at that hip-shaking action! From :51 on is basically better than anything I’ve ever seen in an LA dance class. I’m pretty sure this dog could sweep every last one of the new Dancing With The Stars contestants I heard announced on the radio this morning. Bristol Palin and Mrs. Brady have nothing on this perro, as he’s backing it up better than Beyonce.
