Can’t understand why Rio de Janeiro would come out on top over Chicago as host of the 2016 Olympic Summer Games? Perhaps this video can paint you a better picture. It features some of the stunning background scenery, local talent and superb facilities we have to look forward to.

It would have been great to call US home to a third Olympic Games in 15 years, but we are happy for Brazil, and South America in general, as this will be the first Olympics ever held on the continent!

As Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva so eloquently put it,

“The opportunity now is to expand the games to new continents. Light the cauldron in a tropical country, in the most beautiful of cities. Send a powerful message to the world that the Olympic Games belong to all people, all continents, and to all humanity.”
