This is equally funny and sad. Not sure where it came from, but it’s genius! I had to laugh out loud at the one about texting at red lights… because that happens to me all the time.

my husband is a LEGO

One other thing – I just saw this video that someone posted on Julian’s Facebook Fan Page & thought it was so cool. It’s a LEGO remake of his Stuck Inside Your Head music video. There’s just something about seeing the love of your life as a LEGO that makes you laugh. I really do think he’s more attractive than this, though… the LEGO man kind of looks like a chicken. Except when he’s in the bathtub, and then he looks like one of those little old men who wear those funny red hats and drive around in little cars in the Christmas parade (what are they called again?  Shriners.)

I also like this one, because I have a weak spot for illustrations (did you know I draw many of Julian’s t-shirt designs?)

J’s fans are such a creative, talented bunch.

i can’t hug every cat

Oh boy – so, I never posted the original video (though it is funny, I’m pretty sure its faker than Travolta’s hair), but I have to post the remix because it is about 1000x better and everything these guys do is just pure hilarity. This is for all you cat ladies!

the office recut as a 90s sitcom

This video is cracking me up. It makes me so happy and nostalgic, yet thankful that TV has come so far and (for the most part) bid adieu to laugh tracks and cheesy music. All in all, amazing.

a few thoughts on reacting

Found this cute little image on Urban Velo while looking for some fabulous new cycling blogs. It’s adorable, and though I’m sure it makes most sense for folks with bikes, I think it gives a pretty universal message about how we can better react to confrontation and negativity.

I know it would personally take an enormous amount of self-control not to snap back at someone who yells at me while walking, driving, biking, or just hanging out… but how you respond really is the most important thing if you want to make a positive difference. Think about the last time you were rude to someone and they didn’t respond with anger, but instead with a reaction that made you feel terrible for unleashing on them in the first place. Powerful stuff.

I don’t know where this picture came from, but it’s making my day. My Grandpa down in Dallas, who is the Chief Email Forwarder in our family, sent it my way. And now I’m sharing it with you. I mean, how can you not share something like this? Even if it is 100%, without a doubt, Photoshopped.

baby cats + japanese television

A little Sunday silliness for you today: baby kittens and Japanese television, a winning combination in anyone’s book! Aside from the precious little babes, my fave part of this video has to be the weird sound effects they use each time a kitten moves its paws. And of course, the over-the-top squeals coming from the hosts. I wish I knew what they were saying!

confederate candles. smells you recognize

Happy Saturday, everyone! Check out the latest video my talented husband released last night. Alongside Julian, it also stars yours truly. I had no idea I was going to be in it until Thursday night, but it was so much fun to film. I just love the concept for this video. Julian and I went through a phase a while back, saying “Yankee Candle needs to get on that” whenever we’d smell something disgusting. Brainstorming scents for the candles in this video was realllllllly fun, too. I still wish we had included “wet garbage” or “trash juice” – hahaha! But “Forgotten Litterbox” and “Morning Breath” are pretty brilliant.
