I’m Sarah, better known to many as “theoneinpink.” I’m 27, newlywed and currently living in LA, originally from Northern Virginia. I’m into music, books, the internet, cats, cooking, baking, interior design, pretty things, yoga (at least I like to try), activism, learning for fun, gummy candy, VA pride, and looking fly. I also have two perfect cats.
I am the (new) Senior Copywriter for MySpace (yes, MySpace — IT’S ALIVE!). Formerly of SocialVibe. I am also a freelance writer, you can find some of my most recent work at the very wonderful wedding blog 100 Layer Cake. This is my personal blog, where I write about whatever the heck I want.

FAQ
Who are you?
I am what you would call a “people person.” In person, I am quite chatty, and on paper, I am much the same. After years of expressing myself via journaling in diaries, I built my first (non-Geocities or Angelfire) website in 2002. A year later, I discovered blogging. You could say I took to it like a fish to water. I’ve come a long way since my LiveJournal days, blogging on many different fabulous websites for many different companies about everything from non-profits to social media to fashion to technology.
What is this blog about?
These days, it’s not hard to find sad, depressing stories. I am the optimistic type that believes every cloud has a silver lining and that everyone has something wonderful to offer. For my blog, I have one goal – that after visiting, you feel happier, lighter, more empowered, educated or inspired – in the way that makes you want to get out and do something great for yourself or someone else. I tend to write about things that I can relate to and find lessons in – art, books, faith, money, health, love, music, relationships, etc. Though most “blogging specialists” would tell me I should stick to one or two topics, I am not the type to box myself in – there is way too much great information out there to talk about!
I also love looking at beautiful things and aim to make my blog as visually stimulating as it is mind or soul stimulating, which is why I choose to keep the layout simple and feature beautiful images within the posts. With so much beauty in the world, I figure why not share it?
How can I contact you?
Want to get in touch with me about freelance writing, copywriting, sponsorship, to ask a question or just say hi? sarah@theoneinpink.com works pretty well! Can’t wait to hear from you!
If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?
I would love to open my own bookstore, ala Kathleen Kelly in You’ve Got Mail. I’m just a wee bit obsessed with books. I’m also a wee bit obsessed with animals in general, so I wouldn’t mind working with an animal rescue organization. If both of those burn out (or I find myself with a lot of spare time) I’ve always been an avid artist, so illustrating books would be an ideal job for me. Hey, you can’t blame a girl for having too many passions!
