moving, moving, moving…

I think that’s bologna. Moving isn’t so bad – obnoxious, expensive, yes, but it’s not THAT bad. But maybe that’s because I’ve moved a grand total of 12 times since graduating high school & moving into my college dorm (this will make lucky number 13). I’m hoping this is the end of that. I’m nearly 29 years old after all – it’s time to stay in one place longer than 2 years.
Honestly, the packing so far hasn’t been too bad. Believe it or not we are actually ahead of schedule. We rented these green boxes again and once again, I have to highly recommend them to anyone moving in SoCal. They are so genius, and the customer service is A+. Our entire house is filled with these stackable green boxes, and we’ve been on a roll getting everything squared away. One of the reasons I love moving is because it gives you a chance to clear out any clutter/junk you’ve accumulated. Thank goodness we have an Out of the Closet donation center right around the corner from us!
So we’re basically done packing, though the movers don’t come until tomorrow morning. And that’s when the fun begins… because in the span of a week, we move, unpack, coddle the cats as they adjust, get a new puppy, figure that out, coddle the cats some more and assure them that they’re still my babies, then on Friday I leave Julian alone in a new house with two cats and one dog and drive to Tucson to pick up my little brother & sister, drive all the way back to LA with tiny siblings in tow on Sunday, and then we have them for a week. And I think that’s around the time I’ll let out a massive sigh and jump into this:
Ha. We are soooo excited to be moving into an actual house, in an actual neighborhood, close enough to the action but away from the madness I’ve been living in for the last 5 years. Bring it on!
Hope you’re all having a happy Monday!
