Happy weekend! I hope whatever you’re doing, you’re comfortable, content and … colorful? I was trying for three C’s but I’m too lazy. Some copywriter, eh? Anyway, enjoy these links around the www. Xo! Sarah
The 10 Lowest Paying College Majors (no surprises here… social work and elementary education top the list. My first college major, Drama, came in #10. Good thing I set my sights elsewhere!)
Totally cute and geeky iPhone app magnets.
Set your calenders, people! 05:06:07 08/09/10 won’t happen again until the year 3010.
This creative chick made a graphic for every single episode of LOST. I’ve only checked out page 7, because I don’t want to see any spoilers (we’re only halfway through the 2nd season)!
If you’re into music and typography, you’ll love these colorful, lyrical posters.
FatPhoto – the MySpace UX/Design team’s new favorite app. Takes a photo of you and gives you a fatty makeover – BRILLIANT! That’s one way to feel good about the way you look.
I found this blog post while searching for a Grizzly Bear song, and felt like laughing and crying at the same time. The author hilariously analyzes a photo of tech blogger Robert Scoble after he bought an iPad, and scrutinizes why everyone in the photo seems to cheer him on as if he just ran a marathon. Why are we humans so silly? In other news, the playlist on that blog post is quite good.
Huggie’s copywriter put me to shame. Their new slogan kills it:
Check your AT&T data usage and make a neat little chart. Don’t worry, it’s easy. I don’t know why, but I think this is cool.
Ready and…. CUTE.
@AwesomeAlert is…. awesome. Or as they would suggest, “breathtakingly wonderful” and “simply magestic.”
Jonathan Acuff (Stuff Christians Like) on treating secular media like it’s Satan’s newspaper, and why it happens.
8 Reasons Rich People Hate Their Lives. I found this a few minutes after I grew tired of torturing myself by looking at all-inclusive resorts in tropical locales. The study is a look at the business principles of two very successful entrepreneurs – one of whom is Richard Branson. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING THIS – especially if you want to be rich AND happy.
And now, to die laughing (please forgive me)
