I don’t have as much time as I’d like to blog these days (I have 2 modes: work, and wedding planning), but I do update my Posterous pretty often with cool pics and the like. If you want to follow me, make it happen.
You know that feeling when you’re standing on your tippy toes in water up to your chin just trying to be still and keep your nose pointed upward so you can breathe? That’s kind of how I feel right now trying to balance all this wedding planning stuff (logistics, details, decisions, my feelings, other people’s feelings).
This is going to be me after long… a zombie-bride. DCist
This weekend, however, I’m going to do my best to just PUSH it all aside and enjoy myself because I’m flying back to Virginia for two very momentous occasions!
Numero uno, my first ever wedding dress fitting! As some of you know, my Grandmother and Mother are making my wedding dress by hand and though we’ve done a fair share of stitching, priority-mailing, pinning, and priority-mailing back, I still haven’t had a wedding dress on my body yet. Tomorrow that will change.
And then on Sunday, I get to hang out with some of my favorite girls at my bridal shower! My best friend since childhood Tabatha is having it on the gigantic wrap-around porch on the back of her Mom’s house so I’m hoping for endless sunshine.
PLUS, I’m picking up our wedding bands and my newly-resized engagement ring from the jeweler tonight – ahh! A fun-filled, wedding-wonderful weekend WITHOUT living in fear that my ring will come flying off my hand at any given moment? STUPENDOUS!
There are two small kinks in my weekend plans, however. A red-eye flight tonight and a VERY early east-to-west flight on Monday morning – those are the worst because despite waking up at 1am Pacific time, you still land in time to go work a full day. Blech.
Anyways – here’s hoping you all have as lovely a weekend as I’m sure to have. xoxo!
Are you (or do you know any) an incredibly talented, smart, organized and just all-around awesome visual or interaction designer looking for exciting, challenging work? Good news – MySpace needs you. We have two open long-term freelance positions!
Not only will you be working in a luxurious Beverly Hills office, but you’ll have daily access to a multitude of food trucks for your salivating and digestive pleasure. Do I even have to mention that you’d be working with moi? What a perk.
My lovely love Hayley at work showed me this video this morning and I’m in stitches. You must watch. It’s supposed to be four men talking as girls talk…. what do you think – is this true?!
Being busy isn’t too bad, but when it causes me to miss things like the new theatrical trailer for Sex and the City 2, we’ve got a problem. I was already super-duper excited about seeing this movie (my excitement for SATC2 comes in just behind getting a husband and going on a honeymoon in Paris), but NOW I’m even MORE fired up, because Aiden is in it! We love Aiden!!
Man, I love this series. I hope they never stop making movies.
By the way, took Julian to get a little bit of oral surgery this morning (been playing nurse and making soup for him all day) and his dentist totally looked like a more-attractive and taller Mr. Big. I think he’s married, but if you’re interested in having a Mr. Big lookalike as a dentist, I can give you his info.
Hi! Miss me? I miss you too. I’ve been too busy to update this lately, but that will change soon I promise. I have so many cool things to share with you. But for now, I think you should watch this really cool animation of pixels invading NYC, with cameos from some of our favorite old-school video game icons.
This YouTube video is pretty low quality, to check out the cleaner, crisper version, click here. Just found the embed code for the vimeo version.
